Guided Night Scuba Dives in Vancouver | Explore BC Dive Sites After Dark
Looking to book a guided night dive in Vancouver or surrounding cities? Our weekly evening dives are designed for certified Advanced divers who want to experience BC’s ocean at night. Dive at locations like Whytecliff Park, Kelvin Grove, or Ansell Point with an experienced guide and small group of locals.
Meet at 5:00 PM at the shop (if you need transportation) or meet directly at the site by 6:00 PM. After a full site briefing and buddy check, we’ll do a guided 45–60 minute dive. Expect to return to the shop between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

Night dives in the Vancouver area offer a completely different experience—calmer waters, more active marine life, and peaceful surroundings. Whether you’re hoping to see octopus, lingcod, or glowing bioluminescence, this is your chance to explore local dive sites after sunset in a safe, social, and supportive setting.
What’s Included:
- 1 guided ocean night dive (approx. 45–60 minutes)
- 1 tank and weights
- Optional transportation from our Vancouver dive shop
What’s Not Included:
- Rental Gear — Reserve your rental equipment here
- Food or drinks — bring your own snacks and water
- Guaranteed marine life sightings — nature keeps it wild!
Diving in a Drysuit?
Planning to dive in a drysuit? You’ll need a Drysuit Specialty Certification or to have completed training with us. New to drysuits? Take our PADI Drysuit Specialty Course.
Requirements to Join:
- Advanced Open Water Diver certification or higher
- Dived within the past 6 months
- Night dive experience in the last 12 months
- Drysuit certification (if using a drysuit)
- Minimum age: 12 (minors require parental consent)
Transportation:
Optional transportation is available from our shop, limited to 6 divers. First-come, first-served—please request at booking.
Trip Flow & Meeting Time:
- 5:00 PM: Meet at Diving Sports Canada (4578 Main St, Vancouver)
- 6:00 PM: Meet at dive site (Whytecliff, Kelvin Grove, or Ansell Point)
- 6:00–6:30 PM: Briefing, gear setup, buddy checks
- 6:45–7:45 PM: Guided night dive
- 9:00–9:30 PM: Return to shop

We organize guided fun dives for divers of all experience levels. If you're unfamiliar with local sites or don't have a dive buddy, these sessions are perfect for you. Our team chooses the dive site based on diver experience and group preference, ensuring everyone has a great time.
After the dive, unwind with fellow divers, share stories, and enjoy the sense of community that comes with every fun dive. Whether it’s your first time diving BC waters or your hundredth, there’s always something new to discover.
